While using our Application, in order to provide features of our Application, we may collect:

• Location Data: We collect and process your geographical location (GPS coordinates) to map your active fishing routes and record where you log catches. This includes background location tracking if you explicitly grant permission to record your trip while the screen is locked or the app is in the background.
• Photos and Images: If you choose to attach photos to your catches, we access your device's camera or photo library. These photos are uploaded to secure Firebase storage associated with your user account.
• Account Information: If you sign in using Google Sign-In or Firebase Authentication, we collect email, name, and profile identifier to authenticate your account and sync your logs securely.

2. Sharing of Personal Information

FishinTime does not sell, rent, or trade your personal or location data to third parties. We use secure cloud services (Google Firebase) strictly for storing and syncing your data across your authenticated devices. Your location routes and catch logs are private and visible only to you.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your fishing logs and account information as long as your account remains active. You can delete individual catch logs or past trips inside the app at any time. If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated location history and photos, you can contact us at [email protected], and your data will be permanently wiped within 3 business days.

4. Security of Your Data

The security of your location and personal data is important to us. All communication with Firebase cloud servers is encrypted using Industry Standard Transport Layer Security (TLS). However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top.
